Alexandra Whittingham Charity Concert at County Hall

“I think it’s really special to be able to perform to the employees of the hospital. Just anything anybody can do at the moment to show support.”

Set against the ever-moving backdrop of Westminster Bridge and the River Thames, award-winning classical guitarist Alexandra Whittingham gives a delightful open-air, socially distanced charity performance to the doctors, nurses and other staff of St. Thomas’s Hospital to honour their work during the Covid-19 pandemic. This short documentary presents an intimate look at this special event held over three days at London’s County Hall and an interview with Alexandra herself, giving her an opportunity to explain the significance of the songs she performs and highlighting the importance of showing support for all hospital staff and frontline workers in such testing times.
