SEEDS OF CHANGE
A FOUR SEASONS FESTIVAL
The first edition of a planned seasonal programme, the Four Seasons Festival begins with Seeds of Change, a Spring gathering at County Hall on the South Bank shaped by growth, curiosity and shared experience. Taking place on Sunday 3 and Monday 4 May 2026, the festival offers a first expression of County Hall Arts’ wider Seeds of Hope vision.
Across two days, County Hall and its surrounding spaces become a living cultural landscape, where music, film, visual arts, history and food come together in a spirit of openness and discovery. Inspired by the idea of the seed, the festival reflects on how small beginnings can take root and flourish when given care and attention.
The programme (available to view here) moves between intimate and open-air experiences. Highlights include performances on the Queen’s Walk overlooking the River Thames, inviting audiences into a gentle convergence of place and season. In the Kiln Courtyard, classical concerts and a showcase of emerging young musicians offer a sense of continuity and renewal.
Meanwhile, hands-on workshops led by resident artist Yasemin Gava in collaboration with County Hall Pottery invite participants to create flowers out of clay. Alongside these moments, guided walks, storytelling sessions with acclaimed children’s picture book author Vivian French MBE and film screenings all invite audiences to experience County Hall not simply as a venue, but as a shared and living cultural environment.
At its heart, Seeds of Change reflects County Hall Arts’ belief in the arts as a means of connection across generations, disciplines and cultures, offering a space where ideas can be planted, nurtured and thrive.
