County Hall Arts is excited to announce its Call for the design of a "Super Dragon of the County Hall" - to be the historic building’s emblem and mascot for the 21st century. A Winner’s Prize of €50,000 is on offer.
Built over a century ago on the south bank of the River Thames, County Hall will remain a London landmark for another 100 years and more. Here, County Hall Arts, makes its home - a bastion of the arts and a centre for cultural exchange where East meets West and West meets East.
The Dragon meanwhile spans many cultures and is recognised as a symbol of strength the world over, holding particular significance in the Far East and Britain’s mythology dating back hundreds of years. Stories and folk tales of this creature will continue to capture the imagination for generations to come.
