Trio Jerez at County Hall

County Hall Arts is thrilled to welcome Trio Jerez to London and our historic Council Chamber for their first ever UK performances on Monday 13th October.

Join us for what promises to be an unforgettable event, where musical worlds meet in harmony - as eminent Japanese flautist Mika Enjo combines forces with masterful Spanish flamenco guitarists Isaac Moreno and Davinia Ballesteros.

Weaving delicate classical lyricism with the fiery pulse of Andalusian rhythms, this trio creates a soundscape that's at once intimate and exhilarating, transporting audiences across continents through the universal language of music. The programme will include works by Astor Piazolla, Paco de Lucía's iconic Entre dos Aguas and the timeless Japanese piece Sakura.

The Trio Jerez will perform twice at County Hall on 13th October - for an afternoon concert at 3pm and an evening concert at 7:30pm. Book complimentary afternoon tickets here and evening tickets here. 

Hailing from Kyoto, Mika originally studied in Germany and has performed across Europe and Japan.  Recently she's toured with the acclaimed Kyoto Quartet - visitors to County Hall earlier this year.

Davinia is one of Spain’s finest flamenco guitarists (the first woman from Málaga to specialise so), and is also distinguished in classical guitar.  Isaac meanwhile is a protégé of his father, celebrated guitarist Fernando Moreno, and tours internationally.  Together, Davinia and Isaac co-direct the renowned Escuela de Guitarra Fernando Moreno in Jerez.

We anticipate a breathtaking musical dialogue between cultures in the Council Chamber - with ethereal flute lines soaring above intricate guitar patterns, moments of meditative stillness giving way to bursts of passionate intensity.

Audiences will experience a concert of cultural exchange and artistic virtuosity - an elegant meeting of East and West through the shared language of music.  Please join us.
